Sunny side-up eggs are a staple for many hot breakfasts. They can be made to have a crispy yolk and a runny edge. They go well with bacon, hashbrowns or buttered toast.
Table of Contents
It's a wonderful feeling to wake up and smell the bacon cooking. Not only because it is delicious, but also because I know the sunny side up egg will go with it.
The eggs I love are cooked in many different ways -- scrambled or poached -- but the fried eggs with sunny-side up seem to be a classic. In old movies, you'll see these eggs served on everyone's plates. The bright yellow circle in the middle of the white background is almost like default settings. They are so beautiful that I almost don't even want to eat any of them. It's weird, I know.
This "recipe" is for those who want to cook eggs any way. You'll soon be cooking them diner-style.
Why You'll Love This Recipe
- This recipe uses olive oil as an alternative to butter.
- Sunny-side up eggs are an excellent source of essential nutrients and protein.
- This recipe is perfect for those busy mornings where you have little time.
- You can enjoy these eggs on their own, or use them as a topping to toast, steak or a breakfast sandwich.
Can Sunny-Side Up Eggs Be Healthy?
Eggs are rich in high-quality proteins, vitamins D and B12, as well as minerals such selenium and Choline. Also, they contain healthy fats. As we prepare these eggs in olive, you will benefit from monounsaturated fatty acids, which help to improve cholesterol and fight heart disease. It is also rich in antioxidants and antiinflammatory properties.
Ingredients
- 1 large fresh egg
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instrucciones
Heat
Heat the cast iron pan on medium heat until it is hot. Add the olive and swirl the oil around to coat the entire surface.
Cook
The yolk should not be broken when cracking the egg in the pan. Cook the eggs at medium heat for about 2 minutes, until the yolks and whites have set.
Variations
- You can replace the olive oil in your recipe with butter or coconut oil to make it healthier.
- Once the egg has been cooked, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top and allow it to melt for about 1-2 minutes.
- Frying them at high heat will make the bottom crisp.
Serving Suggestions
It's a no-brainer. Let me list some of the breakfast foods that I found on FFF, and you decide which ones to put on your plate.
Blueberry Oatmeal With Cheesecake Swirl : A healthy start to the day. Low-fat and gluten-free, it's a great addition to any breakfast.
Fluffy Cottage Cheese Pancakes: Don't like cottage cheese? Try this recipe and you will love it. These flapjacks go well with almost any breakfast.
Waffles with Protein are naturally gluten-free and crispy on the outside but soft on the interior. They also contain a lot of protein. This is a great option for people whose diets do not allow many protein options.
Easy vegan cinnamon rolls Who says that you can't eat dessert for breakfast? These are vegan, easy to make and only contain 200 calories!
FAQs
Fresh eggs help keep the whites in place. A second way to ensure that the bottom of the egg cooks quickly and remains in the same place when you touch the pan is by making sure the pan is very hot.
You can choose whether you want the yolk to be runny, firm or fully set.
To prevent the eggs from sticking, you need to use enough cooking oil to cover the pan. Ensure that the skillet is sufficiently hot before adding oil and eggs. You can also use a nonstick pan.
How to store Sunny-Sided Eggs
If you want to store eggs, allow them to cool down completely. Place them in a container that is airtight or on a plate, and cover with plastic. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days. Keep in mind that the yolk is likely to solidify. If you prefer a runny yolk, I recommend eating them immediately. When a runny egg yolk is not desired, I use the eggs in a sandwich.
Perfect Sunny Side Eggs
Ingredients
- 1 fresh large egg
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
-
Cast iron pans should be heated on MEDIUM for a few moments until they are hot. Add the olive and swirl the oil around to coat the entire surface.
-
Crack the egg in the skillet. Take care not to crack the yolk. Cook the eggs at MEDIUM temperature until the yolks and whites have set, but the whites remain runny. This should take about 2 to 3 minutes.
Notes
- To prevent the eggs from sticking, you need to coat the skillet with enough oil. Ensure that the skillet is sufficiently hot before adding oil and eggs.
- Fresh eggs help keep the whites intact. To prevent eggs from splashing all over your pan, make sure that it's hot. This will ensure the bottom cooks quickly and remains where it is.

Frequently Asked Questions
How to Store Spices
Keep them out of the sun and heat.
To store spices for longer periods of time, place them in a dark cupboard. This will preserve them and prevent any oxidation.
Keep spices dry and away from sunlight in a cool, dry place. A heater or window can cause the spice to lose its aroma and flavour.
Spices should be stored in an airtight tin or glass jar. Avoid storing spices in plastic containers.
As humidity can cause mold growth, it is important to check the seal before opening or resealing.
Don't throw out any spice leftovers. You can make use of them by adding them to your favorite dishes. They can be frozen to prolong their shelf-life.
Almond Flour and Almond Meal: What is the Difference?
A almond meal is a versatile almond flour alternative that can be used to bake, cook, or even make nut-free dishes.
Almond flour may also contain gluten, making it difficult to digest. Gluten-free foods should be avoided if you have celiac Disease or any other digestive condition.
Almond flour isn't considered "superfood", but it is high in healthy fats, fibres, protein, vitamin E, and sodium.
The nutritional benefits of almond meal include magnesium and copper, iron and zinc, manganese as well as potassium and vitamin C.
Almond flour is made with almonds. Almond oils contain polyunsaturated essential fatty acids. Both types reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and increase HDL ("good") cholesterol.
Almond flour also contains antioxidants like phenolics and flavonoids. These compounds prevent free radical-induced oxidative stress.
A study published in the Journal of Agricultural Food Chemistry found that almond flour had antioxidant activity equivalent to that of blueberries, cranberries, pomegranates, and red wine grape juice.
Almond flour can be purchased with almond milk that has been supplemented with nutrients.
Is Thai cooking made with garlic?
Thai cuisine includes garlic. Garlic is used often in Thai cuisine, such as soups, stir fries, curries, sauces, and salads.
Garlic is often fried in Thailand with ginger, shallots, and other spices. It is also often eaten with sticky rice.
Garlic is best chopped finely and mixed with oil, chilli paste, fish sauce, lime juice and oil. This is known as "Nam Phrik", or namphrik. Nam phrik is often served with grilled chicken or beef.

How To
How to cut Shiitake Mushrooms
The shiitakes are doing well. There's nothing wrong about them. How do we cut them? We have tried every method, including using scissors. But they just keep slipping from our hands. Is there something wrong?
You have a trick. Put a rubber band around your mushroom stem and twist it tight. That way, you won't slip and cut yourself.
You may think it sounds too easy. It is. But it's also very effective.
The rubber band makes your stem slippery and it feels very natural when you pick it it up. Plus, it doesn't hurt to hold the stem tightly.
Try it now. It will be so much easier to cut mushrooms than ever before.
